Thanks to the more than 50 participants, volunteers and their families who turned out on Friday March 21, 2014 to participate in the half-marathon and 10 km races on behalf of AACI’s Shira Pransky Project!
Some of the 2014 Jerusalem Marathon team takes a brief break from pre-race stretching for a group shot
Sporting their colorful team t-shirts, the team members raised awareness and funds to support the project, Israel’s only initiative solely dedicated to helping English speakers navigate the Israeli healthcare system.
Our team has managed to raise over $20,000 and counting, and it’s not too late to support the run or any individual runner!
Special thanks and kol hakavod to Sarah Weinstein, who is atop the fundraising leaderboard!
Congrats to Lev Zuckerman, who led our half-marathon runners with an outstanding time of 1:54:15, and Chaya Bracha Zippor who led our 10 km runners with an impressive time of 0:44:55. Additional kudos go to Joy Chesterman who won her age group with an awesome time of 1:52:45 in the 10 km race, as well as Sherman Rosenfeld who was 8th in his age group with an exceptional 10 km time of 0:58:41.
Participants take a break from the delicious barbeque to pose for a post-race photo
